Dubai Sports World opens in time for summer

Keep kids in sport this summer at Dubai Sports World, the largest indoor sports venue in the UAE

The annual multi-sport initiative, in its 12th year. Edition, has opened its doors just in time for the summer season and welcomes children and adults of all ages. This year the destination is open for 23 weeks in summer, from now until September 21st.

His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, in the presence of Mahir Julfar, Executive Vice President – ​​Venue Services Management, Dubai World Trade Centre, declared the venue open and explained the reasons for the extension operating time. “The 12th edition of Dubai Sports World will span 23 weeks over the summer, offering a wide range of sports and fitness activities in line with the UAE leadership’s vision of cultivating a healthier, sportier lifestyle,” he said.

To make the 23-week initiative a reality, Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) has transformed Za’abeel Halls 36 into the UAE’s largest indoor sports complex, covering 20,000 square meters and accommodating a variety was prepared by sports and academic training.During Ramadan daily from 8:00 am to 1:00 am and daily thereafter from 8:00 am to midnight, the venue offers facilities for playing badminton, basketball, cricket, soccer, paddle tennis, tennis, table tennis and volleyball.

The interconnecting corridors serve as a self-contained and exclusive space that has its own separate parking lot with direct access from Al Mustaqbal Street. Facilities on offer include 18 badminton courts, three basketball courts, one cricket pitch, two paddle tennis courts, six soccer pitches, eight table tennis tables, two tennis courts and two soccer volleyball fields.

All sporting activities within DWTC comply with Dubai Government and Dubai Sports Council guidelines to ensure a safe experience for all.
