The advantages of beginning school at a young age

A surprising proportion of parents feel their children are too young to benefit from early education and delay enrolling them in nursery until they are toddlers. Many child development specialists, however, disagree with this approach!

Babies begin learning about their surroundings as soon as they are born, and they develop at varying rates depending on the particular kid and their surroundings. However, many toddlers have a vocabulary of 150-300 words and their own distinct personalities by the time they reach the age of two. They’ve also honed their movement abilities, hand-eye coordination, and social skills.

Because crucial brain and neurological development happens throughout the first three years of a child’s life, they can benefit greatly from starting preschool at a younger age than two.

The advantages of starting school early apply to parents as well!

For many parents, the ideal situation is to spend as much time as possible with their children during these crucial formative years. The reality for most, however, is a dedication to their job schedules and, in many cases, a lack of understanding about how to teach children from an early age in order to maximise their growth.

Another terrible truth is that children can be badly affected not just by not being taught at a young age, but the negative consequences can sometimes echo throughout their school life. The ABC Project performed a long-term research that compared two groups of children: those who received formal preschool instruction and those who did not.

Children with formal schooling performed better on reading exams in future school years, according to their results. It was also discovered that children who did not acquire any formal education throughout their nursery years were more prone to suffer with delinquent behaviour during their teens and early twenties.
